ostarella: (Say What)

Yes, she did! She sent me another one - which I again have sent to TPTB over at DS. Some neat quotes, folks:

"he was very hungover the Saturday of the Motor City Comic Con by his own admission during the his panel (which I have on camera now)"

Strange - because as I've said before, I was at that con and he certainly didn't look hung over to me. And I'd love to see her film of that panel (again, which I also was at) - must be a wonder in the world of "creative editing"

This referring to some person (no one I know, btw) who is apparently part of the infamous Dirkette Mafia (which, I'm proud to say, she now includes me as a member):

"she will pay for any vandalism to my mother's house no matter who really does it. I weigh more then she does, am stronger and I have my sanity."

Not only does that sound like an absolute threat, but my god - she has her "sanity" - by whose definition?

"I'm too grown up."

Right...

"Karma is a bitch and it does go around"

Does she even know what karma is?

She told me not to bother responding - and there probably is no point, as she would ignore anything I said. Funny, she's perfectly willing to say this crap in a PM but has yet to post publicly on DS. I'll bet when she does, it'll be so profound and full of truths it'll just knock our socks off...

It's hard to break the circle, but I noticed that it is easier to leave the sugar alone if you stay away from animal proteins and vice versa. Not that I'm fully into MB yet, mind, but in that case Dirk has only confirmed something I had already noticed myself. Have a cup of coffee with a piece of cake and you will crave for meat two hours later. Chemical reaction, that's all it is. The need of the body to balance yin and yang, too much of both extremes. It's easier to handle if you leave both.

I have moved away from red meat - I've found that chicken can be used in everything I used to use beef in. (Although according to MB, I shouldn't eat chicken either. Don't know if I'll get that far into it, myself. Tofu just does not cut it for me.) But cutting out red meat definitely cut my craving for sweets, in general. The occasional cinnamon roll is more a fall-back to comfort foods - I tend to crave sweets when I'm stressed out. But then I tend to crave food of any sort when I'm stressed out. *That* is the root of most of my health problems - stress. Never have learned to deal with that adequately.

Generally I don't eat a lot of red meat. I've always been a chicken fan. It is great... you can do lots of things with it.

The only time I really have red meat is when I make a bolognese... or the other night the lamb curry ;-) Very occasionally I'll buy steak but chicken is my main meat.
