ostarella: (Say What)

Yes, she did! She sent me another one - which I again have sent to TPTB over at DS. Some neat quotes, folks:

"he was very hungover the Saturday of the Motor City Comic Con by his own admission during the his panel (which I have on camera now)"

Strange - because as I've said before, I was at that con and he certainly didn't look hung over to me. And I'd love to see her film of that panel (again, which I also was at) - must be a wonder in the world of "creative editing"

This referring to some person (no one I know, btw) who is apparently part of the infamous Dirkette Mafia (which, I'm proud to say, she now includes me as a member):

"she will pay for any vandalism to my mother's house no matter who really does it. I weigh more then she does, am stronger and I have my sanity."

Not only does that sound like an absolute threat, but my god - she has her "sanity" - by whose definition?

"I'm too grown up."

Right...

"Karma is a bitch and it does go around"

Does she even know what karma is?

She told me not to bother responding - and there probably is no point, as she would ignore anything I said. Funny, she's perfectly willing to say this crap in a PM but has yet to post publicly on DS. I'll bet when she does, it'll be so profound and full of truths it'll just knock our socks off...

I just hope Dirk is none the wiser by these crazies!!!

Unfortunately, he is the wiser and alienated has made sure of that. This is what happens when you post your mailing address on the internet. All the "crazies" know exactly where to find you.

okay... so I hope he's not getting involved. :D

I'd like to think Dirk had some secretary to deal with all his *stuff* but when I got my envelope back, he actually signed the customs thingy on the front of the envelope... so it looks like he took it to the post office himself lol! (Or maybe some nice courier guy came to his door - but even so... Dirk signed the outside of the envelope - I can't think what the things called now! ..something to do with customs.)

He's not.
He's a smart man and knows the signs of the few who are off their nut.
Trust me...he's no mug ;-)

oh I don't doubt he's a smart man. I know he's a smart man - trust me... that's the appeal, plus his good looks :sigh:

In fact I believe in/agree with a lot of things that he says, (what I've read in his books etc.) - I'm just not strong enough to give up sugar :D

Oh giving up sugar is *hard*. I loved my sweets, but I did manage to find some barley malt hard candies that helped through the transition.
And my teeth are much happier LOL.

That's my weakness for sure. It's the Norwegian in me ;-) Every now and then I sneak a cinnamon roll with butter cream frosting...and I can just see this look of disgust from the little man on my shoulder LOL

But I've really done well otherwise. I'm even becoming a passable cook - well, maybe that's exaggerating a little. It's edible. But I keep trying ;-)

I'm not really into sweets... but I like chocolate, beer/wine and icecream and CAKES :D

All in moderation of course ;-)

It's the weekend... I'm *allowed* at the weekend :D

Hey and I'm exercising too... I do that so that I can have my cake and eat it you know ;-)

Yeah, exercise has been my real downfall, especially after going back to work. Somehow can't get "into" doing sit ups after shoving 300 pound crates around for 8 hours...I did get Steel Stomachs out and started that - I got about 2-3 attempts made for every 10 of Dirk's. :p Just wait though - given enough time...and I'll be too old to care! LOL

The thing is... I think with Steel Stomachs... I'd be too busy watching Dirk to actually care about exercising lol!

Well, yeah, there's that. Doesn't help the count when you're stopping every two seconds just to watch...:D

It's hard to break the circle, but I noticed that it is easier to leave the sugar alone if you stay away from animal proteins and vice versa. Not that I'm fully into MB yet, mind, but in that case Dirk has only confirmed something I had already noticed myself. Have a cup of coffee with a piece of cake and you will crave for meat two hours later. Chemical reaction, that's all it is. The need of the body to balance yin and yang, too much of both extremes. It's easier to handle if you leave both.

I have moved away from red meat - I've found that chicken can be used in everything I used to use beef in. (Although according to MB, I shouldn't eat chicken either. Don't know if I'll get that far into it, myself. Tofu just does not cut it for me.) But cutting out red meat definitely cut my craving for sweets, in general. The occasional cinnamon roll is more a fall-back to comfort foods - I tend to crave sweets when I'm stressed out. But then I tend to crave food of any sort when I'm stressed out. *That* is the root of most of my health problems - stress. Never have learned to deal with that adequately.

Generally I don't eat a lot of red meat. I've always been a chicken fan. It is great... you can do lots of things with it.

The only time I really have red meat is when I make a bolognese... or the other night the lamb curry ;-) Very occasionally I'll buy steak but chicken is my main meat.
