American Idol quasi-rant
Apr. 29th, 2008 06:30 pmDon't know how many watch this, but I've quit. Last week, one of *the* most talented of the group was voted out, and another contestant, who has shown over and over that he doesn't really care that much was kept in. Obviously their voting methods have once again proven to be a case of "popularity" over talent. I really had high hopes for this year, thinking it might actually maintain its integrity as it did last year - but not to be. Granted, there are still a couple of really, really talented people on there, but I can pretty much know who's going to win - and he's not as good as a couple others. But he's young and cute, so...
Oh well. Last year was the first year I'd managed to watch the whole thing to the end. Usually I just watch the first few weeks, until the really awful ones are voted off. Up to that point, it's funny. Last year they actually kept the talented ones right up to the last. Oh well - more time to work on important things - like writing and ranting. :D
