ostarellaWell, much as I hate to admit it - technology may be more useful than I typically like to admit.
I was on the cell phone in Minnesota, talking with my son, who was on a street corner in Inglewood, California with his cell phone. He's on jury duty and had no idea where anything was - ie, familiar restaurants to eat at - so I got on mapquest and found the intersection where he was; via the satellite view, found the parking lot he was standing near and the odd-shaped building across the street from him, clicked the button to show nearby restaurants, and thus was able to tell him exactly how to get to a nearby McDonalds.
Amazing when you stop and think about it...

We borrowed my step-dads sat-nav and said "Have to get one of those!"
Haven't yet... but so need one. Never get lost again.
