Drained

Oh, man. I was hoping to finish chapter 44 today, but I just completed a section with Face in the hospital, and I feel totally drained. God, I hate writing scenes like this one. And it was so short - less than a page! And nothing really graphic - a couple of words, but otherwise just thoughts...I think it was more the circumstances than the "activity" itself. I was putting him in a situation that is personally terrifying for me, so...

But the rest of the chapter doesn't even include Face - well, not actively. Lots of Murdock angst and Hannibal indecision - that kind of stuff, that's neat to write. So maybe I'll take a breather and move on.

Scenes like that are so hard. I suppose all you can do is try to channel your own feelings into the character.

Well done for actually getting through it.

Oh what are you putting this poor man through now, if you don't even like the situation :O( "It's only fiction, Billy, don't get upset!"

I'm sure you've done a great job, and I imagine you've managed to get some of your emotion into the character as JFM said, which will make it much better as a read :O) It gives it more depth. Hope you are feeling much more energised today :D

I wanted to post a message last night...but LJ just died. Even the message I posted on JFM's post never got there :O(

Well, I wiped out shortly after finishing it. I got a couple more sections written, and then I was just going to take a nap before finishing it...just woke up :-( But, at least I'm fresh for the rest of it now ;-)
