Well, didn't get much writing done Monday night - crashed after a couple hours :-(  Yesterday I made several stabs at it, and changed direction several times, but this morning everything is clicking nicely!  I'm actually eager to work on each section, and have the next chapter almost halfway written, with the balance pretty well planned out in my head. So hopefully will have it completed for posting here by tonight (maybe even this afternoon). It feels soooooo good!

I've also been reading Mortality, the BSG story Pam mentioned on the list. I haven't watched all the eps of BSG, and so only know the basics, but that story is really pulling me in. There are some spots that get a tiny bit maudlin, but then the author pulls it back and redeems the character very nicely, so those spots aren't at all annoying. I'm pleasantly surprised, and may actually have to start looking at BSG as a new venue. Although I understand it's difficult to find non-slash stories (I'd read some of those a long time ago and they fell into the same traps TAT slash does, so it wasn't really a turn on for the fandom). But something to look at. Who knows? It may awaken a broadening interest in other arenas as well. Be interesting to try something for shows I liked, but didn't necessarily "love". ;-)

I've been getting more involved in the various discussions on LJ and DBC. I was staying kinda in my shell for a while, but it feels good to "spout off" again - especially since I'm trying very hard to keep it "mature" and not get nasty. What a challenge!  LOL

Have also gotten started with the spring cleaning. Maybe that's part of my "energization", but so far it just seems dull. Maybe because I started with the bathrooms. Yuck. But my main problem is trying to keep my hair out of the way. It's just long enough in the back to work in a pony tail, but short enough in front so it escapes into my eyes. I need to cut it - but I'm seriously considering shaving it off.  I wear a cap most of the time outside anyway, and it might be interesting to see how it grows out. I have to cut the dogs' hair as well, so I could just continue on with the shaver...wonder what I'll look like. Charlie Brown comes to mind  LOL

Okay, enough 'wittering' on :D  Gotta get back to the guys - Hannibal's just started reading the report from Cleary. That's hard to work out, but pleasantly so. A "good" challenge.

That feels so nice  LOL

Oh and shaving all your hair off is a bit drastic! (but I know the feeling at times - mine drives me spare - especially when doing the housework). Why not get an *alice* band as I call them. That sweeps all your hair off your face whilst you work ;O) Or a head scarf?

I suppose I could do that. But it's funny - the more I think about it, the more I want to do it. Just because I never have before LOL I had it cut to about an inch long one time. I liked it, but it looked like crap. :D I don't know. I think it depends on how frustrated I get with it, and what happens after I've done the dogs. I just think it would be interesting, as I said, to see how it grew back. But I know - after all the hollering I do about men who shave their heads, then here I am...weird.

I wear mine pretty short, but I have top be careful not to go to far, or I just look very butch indeed. :D But given I have to wash it every day, really short would be great. Maybe if I was a lighthouse keeper or something...

Well, I am kind of a recluse or homebody - unless I go into work, I really only go into town once a week. Otherwise I'm seen by no one... ;-) I'll have to think about it - at least until impulse hits . :D

I've never been active on DBC, I'm too busy for another forum! And Dishing the Dirk I tend to look at the pics and move on. :D

DBC is one I've been active on for a long time. It's like my safe haven - I know (usually) people aren't going to get snarky over there. I used to just check the pictures on DTD, too, but for some reason I've started actually trying to keep up with the posts, too. They kinda make up for not having any "physical" friends close at hand ;-)
