I don't pay a lot of attention to the Olympics any more. We used to watch them religiously but with such blurring of pro/amateurs I lost interest years ago. But I do like to watch the ice skating. A Chinese pair just finished - beautifully done, but just the fact that they didn't fall practically guaranteed them a gold medal. The commentators were saying that there are so many weird elements required now that the skaters can't help make mistakes, but this pair was flawless. So the skating's been a bit disappointing, but what the heck? Not like I've even been on a pair of skates for decades :p

I haven't been watching, just no time and I'm out of the habit of watching TV unless it's a DVD!

I always likes the figure skating too. Now I'm going to go and get all nostalgic for Torvill and Dean...

The figure skating is practically a religion with me -- I watched it with my mother, a box of tissues and popcorn on a tiny TV growing up. I admire anyone with the courage to get on those skates -- I sadly, have never been able to remain upright on them.
