Of sorts

I deactivated my facebook and myspace accounts, and removed Yahoo messenger and AIM from my computer entirely, so if anyone's looking for me in any of those places - tough shit. No, seriously, just email me and will work out some other method of commuicating. I'd like to get rid of Windows Live Messenger as well, but I haven't figured out how to do that. I think this latest fiasco has made me extremely paranoid about what things I'm on. Other than private boards and sites, lj is the only thing "public" I'm staying on for the moment.

So the relief of knowing my pc is a little more secure is a bit of nice :D

Tonight I'm relaxing, watching more Lost with my son, and the new season of Project Runway starts tonight as well. I watched Idol last night, but for some reason it wasn't as much fun as usual. Not enough weirdos, I guess. I like Runway mainly because even though the designers drive me buggy with all their drama, I like to see the designs they come up with. Some are outrageous, some stupid, but some are really really outstanding.

So. A lot of anxiety, a lot of wasted time, but the day is ending well. That's good enough.

If you want to get rid of Windows Live Messenger, go to your control panel, and select "add/remove programs". It will compile a list of what programs you have on your computer and from there, you can remove it. (I did the same thing with mine.)

I tried that (that's how I removed the other two) but I couldn't find it on the list. Unless the name shows up as something weird.

I suppose that means chats are pretty much dead now, huh?

Well, I might get them again later - I just need to find out more about these damn viruses. I know how to deal with email, but I honestly thought IMs had better security. Chalk it up to not being technically-minded enough.
