When looking at the sidewalks, please bear in mind they were totally clear the day before yesterday - and then yesterday we got snow and wind. That stick by the sapling (SE View) is just under four feet high, so you can see how much snow we've got left - yeah, some has melted). High temp today is supposed to be 2F - yes, TWO degrees F. So those sidewalks are going to stay filled in for a couple days...

In undisturbed spot, it looks like at least 8 still there. And this is the second lot! The snow we had over Christmas had just gone away when they lot arrived and just kept coming.

We didn't really get that much before Christmas... I measured three inches in my front garden Wednesday. We haven't had any more yet, but we're west coast, and obviously much souther than you ;-) But usually ours doesn't stick around long... but it's still here. My road is like an ice rink! It is far from melting at the moment.

Heh, I suppose so. :D The cold is the thing here though. It's much colder than normal. Barely above 0 (celcius) even during the day. Was about -9 here last night and still about -5 on the way to work this morning. But parts of Scotland went down to -22! Aargh! That's way too cold for us.

It's actually warming up a bit the next few day - but, with increases wind, so the windchill comes in and makes it feel even colder. Waaah!

I hear you on that windchill! I could actually deal with the cold (well, kinda) if there was no wind.

Apparently Australia is having a heatwave right now. And being Australia that presumably means the kangaroos and deadly spiders have started bursting into flames and the beer fridge has to be turned ALL the way up. I wonder what the cheapest flight is I can get?

Makes one seriously wonder why we (meaning singles) stay in places like this. WTF??? We could live anywhere and we stay with the cold ad snow and ice?

Murdock, MOVE OVER!

I envy you singletons! :-P I can be heard occasionally saying 'I'm never living with another man' lol!

I know, I know, I'm married. But God forbid, if anything happened... I'm never living with another man! Singleton for me! Hell yeah!

I'm married to one of them, and could move there tomorrow all legal and above board - and I STILL live here.

Murdock locked me up and threw away the key!

From what I understand Australia's heat is unbearable! Go to New Zealand instead... the North Island is sub-tropical. So it's like being in the UK, only a little warmer :D I can recommend the Bay of Islands ;-)
