Anyone want a cat?

Today, Fang decided she should do everything on the "That's a No-No" List. And I mean, everything. She's discovered the top of the piano - an old upright - and was determined to walk among the photos and music boxes and various and sundry other breakable paraphernalia up there. First I tried the gentle, "no no" and removal. Then she realized I couldn't reach her if she moved behind certain things. So that meant the squirt bottle - while trying to hit her and not the stuff on the piano. Eventually, after having gotten soaked to the skin, she decided it was better to just sit on top of the chair and look like she was going to jump on the piano. Much more satisfying, keeping me occupied watching for her to move, you know.

The dining room table is her other no-no place - and it got a real workout today. Her idea of keeping Mommy occupied with that is to jump up, run across it and leap down - and then sit and innocently wash her ass. I think she's telling me something with that little move.

Then she went after my sandwich on top of the computer. Usually a "no!" puts a stop to that, but not today. So I was picking her up and dropping her on the floor - until finally she decided she should teach me some manners. She wrapped herself around my hand - by way of claws and teeth - and refused to let go. I got a bit back though - I don't think she realized just how loud I can yell when in agony.

Then there were the "little things" - like dumping her nearly full food dish off the table, although from the way it flew off I'd swear she batted it. And snagging my sweater as she ambushed me from the dining room chair. And knocking a few more leaves off the houseplants...

Last, but not least, she decided she hadn't paid nearly enough attention to Petey lately, poor guy. If he so much as raised his head, she was racing over to pounce on him. And I'm not sure how long it will take his poor tail to recuperate from the maulings it received.

So yeah. Kittens are just sooooo much fun...
