I was working merrily away on my next chapter - and suddenly the cursor went zooming to the bottom of the page and would *not* move. So I closed things up, and tried to use the icon on my desktop to get to the control panel. Same thing - damn cursor kept going to the bottom of the screen and would not open anything! Manually reboot, figuring that would take care of it. Nada. Changed mouse. Same thing. Virus scan. Clean. I'm about ready to tear my hair out (no, haven't shaved it yet) when I saw the problem.

I don't eat at the computer. But earlier, I'd been munching on some cauliflower, and casually reached over to make an adjustment before going on about my business. Yeah...

A teeny tiny bit of cauliflower had dropped off as I was over the keyboard, and gradually worked its way down to the "down" key - and stuck. So did the key. Remove cauliflower, everything works again.

grrrrrrrr

Leia posted this over on the list

I just read it and thought it was great - especially the last paragraph :D  But it did get me thinking, once more, about story summaries. Mine suck and I definitely need to learn how to write them - does anyone know of a site that helps one craft such a masterpiece?
