I was just checking my mail and there was one from a guy with a subject of "Nothing to Lose". Had no idea who he was, so I did a quick search online with his name and subject line - the only thing I came up with as 1) some guy with a big ad agency (like he'd be contacting me) and 2) a black dude on death row looking for a pen pal (hopefully not one of my brother's clients).

Either way, glad I didn't open it... sheesh...

With Googlemail, I don't seem to get much *crap* i.e. emails selling Viagra!!! HELLO!!! It seems to filter out lots of the spam.

Usually if it is SPAM, it's not actually a real name!

Hey, I got the name Carlos Flores from Spam, and just had to use it. (can't remember if it was two names and I made the one, or it came as Carlos Flores...damn should have kept that email!) - Now I don't get SPAM emails gosh, I'm gonna find it hard to name my OC's.

Yeah, Yahoo filters out 90 percent of my spam, but every now and then some sifts through. Then I just mark them as spam and never see them again. I think the scary thing was this second guy was from a web site for convicts looking for pen pals. Can you imagine anyone answering one of those, knowing who they are? Good lord...

Eww, creepy.

I can't understand these women that want to write to guys on death row. What the heck is that about?

I don't get it, that's for sure. Even if they're not on death row, but just in jail - c'mon, ladies, there's a reason! God, they must be terrifically desperate. Talk about asking for trouble...

My mail filters out ALL spam. I've got great protection that way.

Yeah, mine gets most of it, and one click and I can stop future ones, so...works for me :-) And some spam can be kinda interesting ;-)
