May be getting it together...

The last two days (my full days off) it rained cats and dogs. Today (when I have to go to bed mid-afternoon because of work tonight) it's sunny, hot and breezy. Sooooo - did some laundry and hung it out, and decided not to sweat about the stuff I should be doing outside. I'm working on the next chapter (finally able to start thinking in a straight line with that) and tomorrow morning when I get home, I'll mow the lawn right away, write some more, and then go to bed. Then on Friday, I'll do some housecleaning when I get home, write some more - and then go to bed. Just divvy things up on work days and save the hard stuff for my full days off. And quit getting my head in a tizzy thinking about everything I need to get done.
So, nothing dramatic or earth-shaking, but I'm starting to figure out my schedule and what I can handle and what I can't. Just going through my To-Do List and working on things as I have time and energy. The world won't end if the dishes aren't done today or the grass grows for another day. Life goes smoother if you let it flow instead of forcing it, I guess.

Writing again, huh? *rubs hands together gleefully* :D

Date: 2010-06-18 01:24 am (UTC)Well, I was hired as a permanent employee - but I figured if I stuck to my budget I could quit in December. Definitely not looking forward to winter driving (never do!). But quite honestly, I just don't know if I can deal with the constant aches and pains. Last night was another (I worked dairy) when I had a tremendous backache from bending at such an awkward angle to shelve things.
So yeah - looking for something closer to home and hopefully, that takes less toll on the old body :p
