ostarella: (Thoughts)

The kind where you know it's a dream, but you wake up thinking that part of it was real. I had a long dream about my mom last night. Very strange, in that she started out appearing to be in her 50s, then went to her 20s, and ended up only slightly younger than when she died (ie, more mobile and alert). And when she first showed up, my thought in the dream was, "Wait - isn't she dead? I'm sure she died!" By the end of the dream - well, let's just say I woke up, thinking everything was okay now because she hadn't died after all. Then I remembered her funeral and that was that.

But, for a few seconds, I had that feeling that everything was okay again...

I've had almost the exact same dream about my mother. That she'd appear and somehow it was all a big mistake and she hadn't really died. Still happens now and she died in 1992.

Oh weird. I was talking to my friend (another friend) earlier and she's not been well, and she said she's been having such dreams that when she woke up she couldn't fathom whether it had been a dream or reality.

I don't get many dreams but I did have one the other night, where I was in my old bedroom which was above the garage of the house. You had to go outside the back door to get to it. (Not good when raining!)

So I feel like I'm laying in my old bed, in my old bedroom (which I was in for my teenage years until I left home). And it was pitch black. I could see only slight squares of light where the windows should be. Like the Curtains were closed, but the night light shone through them, to illuminate them slightly. But they were still dark. The room was just dark. And I could hear this breathing. And my heart was going... I was thinking 'I forgot to lock the door'. Someone's got in. (You had to go outside the house and up some concrete stairs to get into the room, and my dad always told me to lock it at night, just in case - not that it was likely someone would come round through the garden... but you never know).

And it felt like I could see an even darker image against the window 'light' (which wasn't light if that makes sense) of a man standing over me. And this breathing... And I thought I was going to be killed. I woke up.

I could still hear the breathing! It took me a moment to grasp I was in my bedroom now and that it was Hubby breathing heavily. But OMG I couldn't go back to sleep for a while! I nudged my hubby too... so that he'd roll over and not breath so heavily in my ear lol!
