In harmony with yesterday's post about backing away, I've decided that each day I will find at least one thing to be happy about and post it here. And I invite anyone else to do the same. Doesn't have to be earth-shattering (although "The sun came up" might get a little repetitious :D) but any thing that you saw, heard, experienced that was good. And it might be a good idea (ha! see - there's one already ;-)) to stay away from things that have a tendency toward negative - like politics. Make it personal, for you.

So - my nice thing for today.

Fang, laying on my lap, curled into a little ball, with Petey and Muffy sleeping soundly on the couch. They feel safe, secure and loved. And it's nice that I can do that for them.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll try to do it too. The cat and dogs will definitely help you to find those moments every day.

Something positive that happened today for me... we went to the Pantomime (Snow White) in our town. I booked it ages ago, to make sure we got front seats in the circle, so our son can stand and look over if he wants, without getting in any one's way. It rounds off our Christmas nicely, and it's something I remember doing with my dad as a kid.

It was GREAT fun! (Oh yes it was!) and Peter Duncan (hugely known for Blue Peter really... he was on the telly when I was a kid!) was brilliantly funny! Pantos really have a feel good factor. All the booing and hissing and audience participation. And this year my son was really starting to get into it.

So... as a family we had lots of fun this afternoon. Our youngest stayed at home and was looked after by Grandad. But by next year, I think he'll be old enough to actually watch it, as he'll be closer to 4, so might sit still for more than five minutes!

Not sure if you have 'Panto' over in the states... so you might not know what the hell I'm going on about lol!

Hey... and I like you're feel good. They're soooo cute. And it's so nice that they get on (when you feared they wouldn't) but I always had a feeling they'd eventually get used to one another. Its funny how it's perceived that cats and dogs don't get on... when actually they do. :D I'm so glad you've considered keeping Fang!

Good idea btw about posting at least one thing positive in your day! :D
