One step forward...
Apr. 12th, 2008 07:17 pmI had almost half of Chapter 46 written, and scrapped the whole damn thing :-( It was just out and out BORING. So then I started with part of what I'd written, re-did it, and then it seemed to like me better. ;-)
In the meantime, we had rain, snow, sleet and wind last night. Went out to check around the yard and found one of our trees blown down - took it right off at the ground. It's now laying across the fence (luckily it fell into the yard and not out into the street. So, if it quits raining in the next couple of days, I'll have to go out with my chain saw and saw it up. The only problem is that nearer the base, it's a little over 2 feet thick, which is way too big for the chain saws I have. So next weekend, my brother and I will have to get my dad's two-man saw out and hand saw the rest of it. And then, of course, I (and I mean "I") get to chop it up, clean it up and fix the fence.
Just call me Paul Bunyan...
