Is it a trapped nerve in the shoulder? Sounds awful. It bugs the hell out of me that I can't say to you, go to the docs, at least for stronger painkillers if nothing else. Thinking back to my trapped nerve/ sciatica thingy attack over Christmas, that was scary enough without adding in any extra worry about whether I'd be able to afford the doctor and treatment. :(
