Well, Xmas is turning out to be the same crap as usual. Wanted to get all the shopping done Sunday so if anything needed to be ordered we could do that without hassle, but no - nobody felt like making out their lists yet, let alone shopping. So supposedly going to do that Tuesday and hope we can find stuff (the City tends to have the same items in every store and not a whole lot of variety at all). Then I went out to dig out the truck since I'm supposed to take it in today to get the brakes fixed and guess what? Someone nabbed the radio out of it. Plus it wouldn't start which means getting it towed to the garage. And we're due for yet more fucking snow today and tomorrow...
Next year I'm hitching to Texas and not even getting a tree. Swear to god...

Date: 2010-12-21 09:38 am (UTC)Hey, I was thinking of you yesterday, when my dad and I cleared my path and a bit of my driveway. I remember you showing us that photo of your path being cleared, and it was FEET tall. My snow is nothing in comparison, yet it's the most I've probably known all my life... may have had it bad one year when I was a kid, but can't remember it ever sticking around long.
We just don't get the snow here really... Bristol gets hit and Weston has none. Yet we've had it worse than Bristol now.
Makes me bloody cross they don't grit the flipping roads though.

Date: 2010-12-21 01:11 pm (UTC)The plows went through this morning - so now, between new snow, wind, and plows, we've got a pile about five feet high to dig out at the end of the sidewalks and driveway, plus another foot or more on the sidewalks and drive.
Hate winter. Hate winter. HATE WINTER!!!!
