I have to admit, I have a tendency to quit watching after the auditions. I watch for the sadistic value - kinda like lousyfic ;-) But yeah, these two broads are taking away even that fun.
Very much like fanfic - the only difference being, of course, that with fanfic, the writers who have no business picking up a pen (so to speak) do anyway. The lousy singers claim their family and friends love their singing - the lousy writers point to their "fans", who just happen to be equally lousy writers. And Paula and Kara are like the readers who *love* every story no matter how crappy the writing. God...
Then watch the reactions of the rejected ones after the audition - soooo like fanfic! Completely disregard anything that's been said, stubborn determination not to change the way they sing (write) because "those guys don't know what they're talking about" (meaning it would require effort to improve), yada yada yada.
