Not that I'm a manic gun collector or anything - but... I do have a thing about Big Brother passing laws that only harm the people willing to obey them, and do nothing to stop the people who are more than willing to break them. If gun control worked, the police wouldn't have to be ever up-grading their own weapons to match the firepower of the bad guys, right? Because the bad guys are still getting the weapons that are banned. Someone breaks into my house, what am I supposed to do - point my finger and yell, "BANG!"? Right...

I don't know if it's from watching so much A-Team, but it sometimes comes across to me that, even in the cities, America is still a frontier.

We don't have a gun problem... we have knives... which I'm not sure if it is worse as they are EASY to get hold of.

I just had a little shit give me grief whilst I was running, it was easier to just keep on running to be honest. All though I did tell him to stop being a shit! He was about 11 (well actually I have no idea how old he is... you can never tell these days).

oh yeah it is happening. I remember once where I used to live got cordoned off with Armed Police streaming in! Scary!

Yeah, there's definitely that feel to it. ;-) I think there's always been an almost hero-worship of the "rugged individualism" and that gets seriously tweaked when the government starts telling us what to do too much.
