Damn weather...

When I left for work, it was hot, muggy, and sunny. By the time I got to work (37 miles away) the sky had such black clouds it was like night time. When I turned off the highway (like five blocks from my parking area) the clouds were smooth, gray and green, and not much wind. By the time I got out of my truck, the sky was filled with biscuit clouds (looks like a tin of rolls turned upside down) and the wind was blowing so hard I had a hard time staying on the sidewalk. Walked inside and was met by a security guard - the whole place was under a tornado emergency so I had to go *immediately* to one of the shelters. Stayed there for almost an hour before they decided it was safe for everyone to actually go to their work stations. One tornado sighted, power lines down, trees down, hail, a couple semi trucks overturned...good grief. My only positive was the storm stayed well north of my town. That's one of my biggest fears - that we'll get a tornado or really nasty storm while I'm at work - and there my two little dogs would be, all alone. :-(

Sometimes I really do hate Minnesota...
