Wicked weather
Jun. 7th, 2008 06:42 pmJust went through several hours of hell. Sirens went off about 3:00, signaling a tornado warning. Over the next three plus hours I think we went through four of them. My brother, son and I stood on the porch and watched a funnel cloud attempting to form. Luckily, it remained wispy and finally broke up completely, but it was nerve-wracking and fascinating at the same time. Also spent about 45 minutes in the basement, with the two dogs who were not happy about being there (they know they aren't allowed down there normally). But the storms kept reforming (the weather man called it "training") and then moving on, then we'd get hit with the next round.
Otherwise, some final editing on Chapter 55 of Covenant, one holiday and one Quick Pick to do and I'll be caught up with my goals for this week. Not sure how the coming week will work out, as I start back to work and my son is here for a visit - may have to revamp that a bit.
Just heard - another tornado spotted about 50 miles away, with that storm taking the path of all the earlier ones. Wonderful. Just...wonderful...
