(no subject)

Something is definitely wrong with my back. Fuck the doctors who haven't been able to figure out what. Last night (at work) I reached the point where I could barely lift my right arm above my shoulder, and trying to lift anything (even a frigging TV dinner) was agony - pain would radiate from my shoulder blade down and across my back and around to the front. The whole night it was like a continuing cycle of micro-spasms - hot, sharp pains hitting like hail on my back. Toward the end of the night, even the manager was asking if I was alright. Which I wasn't. I haven't spent that much time close to tears since I was in labor. Got home and laid down immediately - 8 hours later and I still can't straighten up.

Luckily, I have tonight off so hopefully, if I don't do anything more strenuous than loading the dishwasher - which I *have* to do :p - I'll be fit for work Friday. Which will most likely start it up all over again.

On a lighter note, Petey is doing much better with the anti-inflammatories - even his good days are better than they were before, so I think we'll be able to stick with them instead of going to steroid treatment.

Work...

I'm not sure this new job is going to last until I have my "drop dead money" saved. Well, the job will - I'm not sure I will.

Those of you who know me know that I freeze very easily. I mean, during the winter, I walk around the heated house with a coat on; if I put shorts on at all during the summer, it's only because the temps have gotten over 100 (Fahrenheit). So here I am - working in the frozen foods department, stocking the freezers...

Yeah. I have to dig out my gloves before Friday - I had to take a couple breaks and use the hot air dryer in the bathroom to get any feeling back in my fingers. Does Walmart supply gloves? Hell no...

And then there was the unexpected problem - I'm doing all the things that aggravate my upper back problems as well as my knee problems. So on the way home, my knees are screaming every time I had to shift gears, and my back was actually spasming.

So I'm thinking, thank God it looks like I'll only be working 2 days, then a day or two off, then two days, etc. I don't think I could last a week if it were four days in a row.
