ADOPTED!!!!!

I've found a home for Fang!!!!!

HAPPY!! HAPPY!! HAPPY!! HAPPY!! HAPPY!! HAPPY!!

Was chatting with a friend of mine up in Canada and she's going to take him! Soooooo happy! A good loving home for him! YES!!!!

So now, definitely work with him every day to get him really used to being handled, then start introducing the carryall - it's about 8 hours' drive - so he'll be comfortable in it... and then, if not before, I'm going up there the end of October for a con and I'll take him up then.

sigh...

Such a relief...

Yay! Aw, you'll miss him a lot by then. But it's good that it's a friend, so you know you can trust her to look after him properly.

Is is okay to just take him over the border? Heh, I'm used to the whole thing of animals having to be quarantined before they can be brought into the country, but I suppose animals just wander back and forth over the border there all the time by themselves, never mind in a car!

I emailed the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (which deals with importing animals, I guess) and they emailed me back, saying that all I *have* to have is a valid rabies vaccination certificate. I'll have to have my friend check with the local/provincial animal control people to see if they have additional requirements. But so far, no quarantine for cats or dogs. :D
