Another "Now what!"

Fang was sneaking up on a mouse this morning. In the dining room. Out in plane sight. Luckily, it went into a box and I just scooped it up and dumped it outside. I have this thing about cleaning up mouse guts, you see.

We were figuring it was just that time of year - but then again, my brother just brought down a bunch of boxes that were in a storage facility up in the Cities - so I'm thinking we may see a few more until those boxes are emptied...

Bleah...

Oh our cat brought a mouse in! She's getting on a bit but we thought it would have been half dead and we'd find it 'somewhere'. Anyway, having to move our fridge, we moved the pew, and he came scuttling. Soooo cute, too. Not a scratch on him. So the cat can't have toyed with him much. He'd made a nest with all the dust (that I don't hoover as pew is too heavy) that gathers under the pew.

God, the fun and games hubby and I had trying to catch him. (Couldn't kill him! :-()

Managed to get him with the our old gerbil tank - phew! and released him into the garden.

I bet Fang was well narked that you got to the mouse first. I'm sure she had plans to showcase the corpse, laying it out artistically some place you'd tread on it before you see it. :D

This one seemed a bit puzzled by the sudden new surroundings (front yard). But I had to let it go; I'm a no kill type unless threatened. And yes, Fang was quite put out that her 'toy' had disappeared - not sure she would really know what to do with it if she had caught it. I can imagine her dropping on the bed or some other completely yucky place to find it...
