Hate technology!

Well, my pc did it again. Shut down by itself, and I lost what I'd written for the next chapter. Granted, it wasn't much, but it was the fourth rewrite and I thought I'd finally got a handle on the tone and then ZAP. Gone. So, now I'm going to try writing everything on here, since it's got that automatic draft saving thing. Then when I'm ready to have others read the completed draft, I can just change the settings and boom, there it is.

Hopefully.

Think I better start looking for a new pc, though. And soon...

oh gosh! I hope you have a good memory ;o) That's a good idea though, you can keep your post private until you are ready to make it public ;o)

Well, I remembered most of it as I started writing again, and I think some of it actually improved :D But using LJ seems to be working, even though I only get a half page instead the full window, so that's kind distracting. At least it's "safe" :s

Omg, I would be going crazy!

You could always try Google Docs, until you've got a new pc. It's quite popular with some nanoers I believe. :)

I've never heard of that. I'll take a look. Thanks :D

Right now we're in the middle of a blizzard, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed the cable doesn't go down. That would really take the cake - an iffy pc and no internet either.

I will pray for your internet. I quite honestly could not live without it now. We didn't have it for a week when we moved into this flat and hubby and I were about to go mad. (He's a web developer, so I suppose he has an excuse, I'm just addicted :D ).

It does get a bit hazardous, especially in the winter. Right now I can't see the tree that's 15 feet from my window. And that's on the downwind side of the house :-( And I just got my truck dug out from the last snow (8 inches over 3 days).

Port Isabel, Texas - where "my" beach is - is 79 and partly sunny...
