FFNet going bananas?

The last few days, I've been trying to keep track of the new stories on FFNet for both A-Team show and movie - and my God - it's maddening! I don't know if the slew of new writers haven't figured out the posting method, or if FFNet itself is having massive technical difficulties. First a story is listed, but click on it and it's not found - then later it's found, then disappears again, only to show up later - and sometimes with a whole new post date. Chapters don't show up on the drop down - but do if you click on "next" - or they just aren't there when they should be. And this is on both show and movie lists. Anyone finding this on other fanfic lists over there? It's just incredibly frustrating and confusing...

Hmm, I doubt so many authors could be messing up all at once. Must be the site. I know there's sometimes a lag between a chapter being posted and apeparing in the dropdown, but this sounds like it's much more than that.

That upgrade thingy may be the problem then - although I had no problem logging in, meself. I didn't think it could be the posters (mass stupidity seemed unlikely but... LOL) Well, hopefully they'll get it straightened out soon then (but does seem rather idiotic to do an upgrade on a Friday if there won't be techies around over the weekend). I did email them about it, so - did my part! LOL

Heh, yeah that's fanfiction for yah. Their change control process:

"Let's try this."
"Okay. Can we fix it if it goes wrong?"
"Nope."
"Meh. Let's do it anyway. Friday afternoon?"
"Cool."

Yeah, their whole administrative function is a joke, really. Email them about a problem or question and if you're lucky, you'll 'notice' the thing has been taken care of, but you rarely hear back directly from them about it. Kinda like "Yeah, okay, you told us about it now bugger off".

On the up side, I've been getting lots of alerts and comments. Just got a nice comment now. She's read all of my stories :D (and I saw the ones she was adding to her favourites :D)

I know ff.net comments are not so constructive at times, but it's nice to have those feel good ones occasionally :-p Just to boost my flagging ego.
