Chapter 8
Well, due to nervous energy, I concentrated on finishing Chapter 8 (draft). Tried to do that lj-cut thing, but it didn't seem to want to work for me. Figures.
My son is coming in tonight from LA - smack into a major snow storm. Worried sick all ready. I'm supposed to work tonight - and the money would be great - but I'm a bit worried about driving 30 miles in a storm like that in the middle of the night; plus having to drive home in the morning, after whatever's coming has really hit. I told the boss I'd try to get in (since we both knew the storm was going to be bad, and she knows how far away I live) but I won't chance going in the ditch for a paycheck. Not with the wind chills the way they're supposed to be.
Anyway, really just rambling on because I can't concentrate on much of anything. I think I even cut chapter 8 down from what I had thought it would be, just because I couldn't really think about that any more. But then again, maybe it's better for not having me waffle on with it.

As to lj-cut - well, you're not the only one who can't figure it out! However, what I did figure out (eventually) is that there is a one touch button to do it when you're writing a new post. When you post to journal, you'll see all your formatting options as always above the post box. One of them has a few lines and a squiggle underneath - if you hover the cursor over it it will announce itself as LJ cut. Press it and you will get a grey box to write all your 'cut' text into. I found it by accident the other night after my hundreth attempt at using the code.

Admittedly with the Rich Text sometimes it doesn't allow me to post over 3000 words, whereas in HTML so far there isn't a word limit.
