HOT!

Again. Temps in the mid 90s, heat index 110 plus, humidity - well, there's a light fog everywhere, even now, and just sitting still produces rivulets of water on the bod. I could plug in the AC, but I'm stubborn about that. Costs too damn much to run it, for one thing, and it only cools one or two rooms. Usually I'd close the windows and shades early morning and have the one fan upstairs blowing out the window and that would keep it cool, but bro has other ideas. He apparently prefers warm wind to none. :p

Anyway...

I wish I could send you some of our rain to cool you off. :D

Okay rub it in. Now you have good weather. We've gone back to January here... though I don't think it's turned that cold that we need to put our heating on as I've seen some post on Twitter.

Put a cardy or a jumper on... Some people don't quite get that.

Yeah, I think I'd have to open the windows unless the AC was on. Quite lucky here, we rarely have it so muggy the house is hot, living by the sea we usually always have some sort of breeze, but when I lived 'home' near London. Many nights were unbearable.

It's because the kids have broken up (or in my son's case will be breaking up) for the holidays!

6 weeks of letting them go out in the garden all day just doesn't happen :-(

Oh, this is NOT good weather. This is killer weather - anyone working outside could get heatstroke or worse unless they take a lot of breaks and drink a ton of water. Animal warnings out, too, so people remember to either bring their pets in or make sure they have shade and lots of water.

And rain? Oh lordy, bring it on! Please! But it's got to be a right good storm to cool things off, and not just make it that much more damp...

No, I know... if only there was an even balance. You go from one extreme to the other, and we just have half hearted weather. When it snows it's feeble. And when the sun shines, it's just not around for long. Actually, we are very lucky with our climate... (I do know that).

That snow last winter was not feeble! Not up here anyway.
